2012 was a busy year for all at Simply Asia Head Office as we opened 7 new stores, scattered around the Western Cape, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal regions.
One would think that 7 new stores over a 12 month period is a fair amount of openings, but we like to keep ourselves on our toes, so we opened 4 stores in 1 month! Paarl and Plattekloof (Western Cape), Eastgate (Gauteng), and our very first store in KwaZulu-Natal, Ballito, all opened their doors in August. Our store in Potchefstroom kicked things off for us in March, and then we ended off the year with a bang by opening Krugersdorp and Parkhurst (Gauteng) in October and November respectively.
All these stores boast our slick new look-and-feel. Our unique theatre styled kitchen windows are framed with abstract soup patterns along the bottom of the window, our wallpaper of Simply Asia letters – much like the old-school 3D pictures (if you spot 3D image let us know – it wasn’t intended, but maybe your creative mind can find something we can’t), our bright red star and our images of Thai culture that are engraved in wooden panels.
You are used to our authentic Thai food prepared by our Thai chefs who come direct from the Land of Smiles to our stores, but now you can visit our new look stores to experience a unique modern-day Thai dining experience.
In November 2012 we also launched our new menu, so feel free to not only look for your favourite Thai dish, but also familiarise yourself with a few ‘Thai Dining Tidbits’ and ‘Thai FYIs.’
